Rooted in the West. Built from the Soul.
Some things aren't chosen — they're born into you. For me, it was the sound of Merle Haggard drifting through my dad's truck cab, the smell of pine and open fields, and the feeling of boots hitting a dance floor on a Friday night. Country and western wasn't something I discovered. It was something I came into this world already knowing.
I grew up outdoors — woodsy, country, and completely at home in wide open spaces. My dad drove trucks and went on to manage Union Pacific Railroad. The classics were our soundtrack — Hank Williams, Kenny Rogers, George Jones, the kind of music that tells the truth about life without dressing it up. That honesty never left me.
As an adult my husband and I built the life I always dreamed of. On our first property we built an entire western town from the ground up — a saloon, a mercantile, a jailhouse and a schoolhouse. We threw big parties there every year and every single one felt like coming home. We went on to build a farmhouse on 10 acres in Texas and have since settled into the beautiful desert landscape of Arizona where the sunsets look like paintings and the wide open sky reminds you every single day why the West is worth celebrating.
Retro Outpost was born out of that same love. I wanted to wear shirts that said what I felt — bold, unapologetic, rooted in a lifestyle that does not apologize for itself. I could not find what I was looking for so I built it.
Every design in this store is a piece of that story. Whether you grew up country or you are just answering a calling you have always felt — these shirts are for you. Wear your history. Wear your attitude. Wear what you have always wanted to say out loud.
This is Americana to the tee.
